Hey Valiant Alum!

We want to hear from you!  What are you doing these days?  Do you want to know what's going on at Manhattanville?

Contact Andy Viano, Director of Sports Information at vianoa@mville.edu or call 914-323-7280 to get on the alumni mailing list and to find out who's wearing your jersey number or living in your dorm room.

Coaches are always looking to bring members of the Valiant family back home; contact a coach to help the team or just to see how the Valiants are doing.

Valiants on the Move ...

Len Marino '83 played for Coach Tedesco and the Valiant men's basketball team from 1979-1983 as a swing-guard who shot 80% from the free throw line.  These days, Marino is coaching high school basketball at Moore Catholic High School in Staten Island, N.Y.  and is a chiropractor with a focus on sports medicine.

Pat Scanlon '03 is one of the youngest and most successful head coaches in college basketball going 58-28 since becoming head basketball coach 2004-2005.  He started 86 consecutive games as a player from 2000-2003, scoring 1,026 career points.  He led the Valiants to their Sklyline Conference Championship in program history and first NCAA tournament birth since 1979 last season as head coach.

Danielle Lacroix '06 is in her first season as Valiant field hockey coach, leading the Valiants past their 2006 win total in just five games.  The all-time career leader in assists turned Manhattanville from a 3-16 team in 2006 to an 8-9 team in 2007, placing three players on the All-Freedom Conference team.

Justin Rohr '07 and Chris Mills '07 were roommates at Manhattanville, leading the Valiant men's hockey team to their best season ever in 2006-2007, a season that included a 23 game unbeaten streak to start the year and Manhattanville's first ever trip to the Frozen Four.  Now, they are living together again, as members of the Muskegon (Mich.) Fury of the International Hockey League as they work towards achieving their goal of playing in the National Hockey League.

Nikhil Kumar '05 finished a stellar career on Manhattanville's golf and tennis teams and has transitioned smoothly into the coaching ranks, currently serving as the Valiants' Head Men's Golf Coach and Assistant Men's Tennis Coach.  Kumar also works for the College as the Assistant Director of Admissions for Graduate & Professional Studies, where he worked to develop Manhattanville's highly-successful Sport Business Manangement program.
